Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Trainee Sonographer to learn in a supportive, mentoring team at Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park, Auckland. You will pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in Health Science (Ultrasound) through the University of Auckland.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Imaging or related Health science, strong communication, empathy and problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn as you perform a broad range of ultrasound examinations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical imaging or related Health science.
• Willingness to learn and take feedback. Be able to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking.
• Strong communication skills, empathy and patience.

Responsibilities

• Support trainee in performing a broad variety of ultrasound examinations.
• Participate in general, obstetric and gynaecology, small parts, musculoskeletal, paediatric, neonatal and vascular imaging under supervision.
