Drury, New Zealand, is seeking Trainee Quarry Operators to join Stevenson Aggregates, a Fulton Hogan company. You’ll be trained to operate heavy plant and work in a close-knit team while building a career in the quarry industry.
No prior quarrying experience required; we provide full training. You’ll need to obtain a Class 2 Learner licence before starting, and you must have the right to live and work in New Zealand. We value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
We are looking for Trainee Quarry Operators to join our team at Drury. You will be someone with a proven track record of delivering a high standard of work in all tasks undertaken. This is an exciting opportunity to join a hardworking and close-knit team, who share your passion for operating heavy plant. This is an exciting kick-starter role for an individual with an excellent attitude and work ethic who is interested in building a career in the Quarry industry. You will be trained to operate a dump truck, loader, digger or crusher within our construction material extraction quarry.
You will join an enthusiastic team, who share your passion for operating heavy plant and you’ll gain the experience required to help us achieve our strategic objectives. No prior quarrying experience is required, just the right can-do attitude, as full training will be provided. If you are successful at interview and progress to the next stage of the recruitment process, you will need to obtain a Class 2 Learner (2L) licence before starting work with us, as our sites require all operators to hold this at a minimum.
Passion for the quarrying industry and willingness to learn and develop new skills. WTR are advantageous. Willing and able to do early starts to meet operational requirements. Be a hard-working team player. A positive, can-do attitude.
