Job summary

Veolia Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Traffic Management Operator (TMO) in Queenstown to deliver traffic management activities for reactive and programmed works across the region. You will support CCTV and jetting operations and work with the TM Coordinator and Team Leader to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.

The role requires a recognised TMO qualification and 1–2 years’ experience in traffic management, with knowledge of NZ local council and state highway

Qualifications

• Recognised Traffic Management Operator (TMO) qualification.
• 1–2 years’ experience in traffic management operations.
• Understanding NZ traffic management requirements for local councils.
• Understanding traffic management requirements for state highways and governing bodies.
• Experience delivering traffic management services in client or customer-facing environments.
• Able to learn and adapt to changing traffic management requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver traffic management programmes for CCTV, jetting and other works.
• Coordinate schedules to maximise equipment and resources and minimise downtime.
• Allocate assets and resources with TM Coordinator and Team Leader.
• Meet traffic management requirements in a timely manner across the programme.
• Communicate with internal teams to align schedules and support cross-department coordination.
• Monitor programme performance and identify scheduling and resource opportunities.
• Ensure all work complies with Veolia safety, health, environmental and quality requirements.
• Provide professional, customer-focused service to clients and stakeholders.
• Occasionally work night shifts to meet network needs.
