Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking experienced Traffic Controllers for long-term work in the South Auckland area. You will join the traffic management team and help set up and pack down sites, directing traffic with handheld tools, radios, or electronic signage.

Candidates must hold a TTMW Certificate or TC Ticket and have previous traffic management experience. Reliability, good communication, and own transport are preferred attributes for this role.

• Able to work in all outdoor conditions.
• Good communication with team and on radio/RT.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Own transport is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with the traffic management team.

• Monitor pedestrians, road users, and onsite crew for safety.
• Adhere to Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).

Casual/Temporary

We are looking for experienced Traffic Controllers who hold either a TTMW Certificate or a Traffic Management qualification to join our client in South Auckland area for long term work starting now!

About the Role:

• Work alongside the traffic management team
• Assist with site setups and packdowns of traffic management sites
• Direct traffic using a stop/go paddle or radio equipment or electronic signage
• Monitor all pedestrians, road users, and onsite team members to ensure safety measures are met
• Adhere to approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).

What we are looking for:

• MUST HOLD either a TTMW Certificate or a TC Ticket
• Have previous work experience in traffic management
• Be able to work in all outdoor conditions
• Have strong ability to communicate with others and over the RT
• Be reliable and punctual
• Have your own transport

Other Information:

• Pay rate is $25.50 per hour + 8% holiday pay
• Working Monday to Friday. Some Saturdays may be required8
• Flexibility with overtime as and when required.
