Job summary

PlaceMakers Te Anau is seeking a reliable and customer-focused team member to join our store across the Te Anau branch. You will greet trades, homeowners and businesses, assist on the trade counter, yard and drive-thru, and support account managers and key customers with sales information.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays, offering an hourly rate of $25–$28 depending on experience, based in Southland/Te Anau.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service in a retail sales environment or sales support.
• Physically fit with ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
• Motivated, self-driven, able to work under pressure.
• Computer literacy; Outlook/Word; training provided on in-house systems.
• NZ Full driving licence; forklift licence an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional service across the trade counter, yard and drive-thru.
• Handle enquiries by phone, email and walk-in customers.
• Provide product advice, quotes and pricing information; offer tailored solutions.
• Support inwards goods by checking/receipting into systems.
• Cycle counting, stocking and rotating products on shelves; loading/unloading vehicles.
