Job summary

WSP in Hamilton seeks a Senior Engineer Water with strong experience in hydraulic modelling and water design. This full-time role requires a Civil Engineering background and a minimum of seven years in water infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil (required).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in water engineering infrastructure projects.
• Experience in hydraulic modelling and water supply design.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and WaterGems.
• Engineering design experience within a consultancy environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support senior engineers and project teams on water infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to hydraulic modelling, design calculations and reports.
• Prepare project schedules, scopes of work and documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of engineering deliverables.

Our Hamilton water engineers deliver high quality professional engineering advisory, planning, design, and project management services that delights our clients, work to support delivery of the water sector strategy and contribute to an enthusiastic performance focused team culture.
The is a full time role of 40 hours, Monday to Friday.
Salary Range $115,000 - $125,000
About you:

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be a central point of coordination across the business, someone who can anticipate what needs to happen, keep multiple priorities moving and make sure the details are taken care of.

A typical day may include:

• Supporting management team activities and priorities
• Preparing for meetings, including agendas, minutes and action tracking
• Maintaining project plans, schedules and action registers
• Arranging domestic and international travel, including bookings, changes and cancellations
• Organising staff functions, workshops, farewells and other company events
• Managing office supplies, records, equipment and general workplace support
• Providing general administration support across INEX and associated businesses

A confident communicator, you are comfortable working with senior managers, following up on actions and ensuring things get done, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion. You’ll also bring an advanced Microsoft 365 skillset with the ability to quickly learn new systems, technology and digital tools.
