Job summary

Ahika Education, Training & Employment Recruitment Agency ltd in Waipawa is seeking a reliable Forklift Labourer to support daily timber production operations. You will move timber safely around the site, load/unload trucks and keep work areas clean.

Ideal candidates will have forklift experience or a current licence, be physically fit, and able to work independently or as part of a team. NZ work entitlement and pre-employment drug test may apply.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and/or a current forklift licence.
• Experience in manufacturing, processing or a similar environment is an advantage.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Physical fitness and the ability to undertake heavy lifting.
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive work ethic.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move timber, pallets and materials.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Strap and tag timber packets.
• Fillet and de‑fillet timber.
• Stack timber and handle stock.
• Assist with bin and pallet assembly.
• Operate processing machinery.
• Complete stocktakes when required.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Complete general labouring and production duties.
