Job summary

BBS Timbers in Whangārei is seeking a reliable forklift driver to join our timber yard team. You will load/unload timber, pick orders, and keep the yard tidy while following safety rules. This full-time role requires a forklift license and timber experience.

Qualifications

• Forklift license required.
• Experience in a timber yard is advantageous.
• Strong commitment to health and safety; a drug test prior to employment will be required.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit with capability for heavy lifting.
• Good communication and a customer-friendly attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload timber products using forklifts or manual handling techniques.
• Accurately pick and prepare customer orders for delivery.
• Ensure all timber products are properly stored and labelled in the yard.
• Fillet and de-fillet timber as required.
• Maintain a clean and organised yard, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Perform general yard duties to support smooth daily operations.
