Job summary

Mitre 10 MEGA Warkworth is seeking a permanent, full-time Timber & Building (Trade) team member to join the Trade Counter and Timber Yard. This hands-on, customer-facing role supports customers from enquiry through to order fulfilment in a fast-paced outdoor warehouse environment.

You’ll process orders, offer practical advice, pick, pack and prepare trade orders, and coordinate pickups with the yard team, contributing to accurate and timely service for builders and DIY customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in timber or hardware retail or trade environment.
• Full driver’s licence essential; forklift licence valued.
• Confident across trade counter and timber yard.

Responsibilities

• Assisting trade and retail customers with timber and building materials
• Processing orders and transactions accurately at the trade counter
• Providing practical advice and product solutions
• Picking, packing, and preparing trade orders in the timber yard
• Coordinating pick-ups and deliveries with the yard team
• Operating within the drive-through trade area
• Stock replenishment and maintaining merchandising standards
• Keeping the counter and yard tidy, organised, and professional
