Job summary

Ideal Electrical Timaru seeks a friendly Counter Sales/Administrator to assist electricians and other customers with product recommendations, quotes and sales at the counter. You will manage stock, assist with invoicing and supplier invoices, and help with general administration while delivering excellent service in a busy branch.

The role offers ongoing training and a collaborative team environment, with hours Monday to Friday 7:30am–5:00pm and occasional events outside these hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing sales or admin roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage stock, invoicing, and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the counter, over the phone and by email.
• Source products, provide quotes and process orders.
• Handle stock, pricing, and merchandise displays.
• Process supplier invoices and assist with accounts tasks.
• Support month-end administration and Health & Safety compliance.
