Job summary

Middy’s Electrical in Palmerston, Otago, New Zealand, is hiring a Counter Sales professional to join our branch team. You will provide excellent customer service, process transactions accurately, and support daily counter operations. The role requires at least 2 years in electrical wholesale, POS experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical wholesale or similar.
• Previous Point of Sale experience required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Valid driver’s licence preferred.
• Forklift licence highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers with product enquiries and requirements.
• Process cash and credit sales accurately in line with company policies and procedures.
• Achieve personal sales goals and contribute to branch sales and gross profit targets.
• Support in-branch promotions, displays and identify opportunities for add-on sales.
• Manage customer quotes, credits and enquiries at the point of sale.
• Maintain high presentation standards across the counter, displays and branch.
• Build positive customer relationships and help resolve customer concerns with Branch Manager.
• Maintain accurate information across branch systems and support continuous improvement.
• Follow company policies, procedures and QHSE requirements.
