Job summary

OneStaff is seeking an experienced Three Waters Foreperson to lead site crews on water, wastewater and stormwater projects in the Waitaki region. You will manage labour, plant and materials, coordinate with Project Managers and deliver safe, high-quality outcomes for clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction, Three Waters infrastructure.
• NZ Certificate in Pipeline Construction & Maintenance (Level 3/4) or Plumbing/Drainlaying qualifications.
• Experience leading crews or supervising civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to read engineering plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor site crews to achieve project milestones.
• Supervise installation of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant and materials.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Maintain high standards of quality assurance.
• Drive health and safety culture through toolbox talks, risk management and compliance.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers and clients to keep projects on track.
• Support and develop apprentices and junior team members.

About the Role

As the Three Waters Foreperson, you'll be responsible for leading site crews and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll coordinate daily site activities, manage labour, plant and materials, and work closely with Project Managers to deliver quality outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring site crews to achieve project milestones
• Supervising the installation of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure
• Coordinating labour, subcontractors, plant and materials
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and project specifications
• Maintaining high standards of quality assurance
• Driving a strong health and safety culture through toolbox meetings, risk management and compliance
• Liaising with engineers, project managers and clients to keep projects on track
• Supporting and developing apprentices and less experienced team members

About You

You'll be someone who enjoys leading by example and takes pride in delivering quality work.

Ideally you'll have:

• Proven experience in civil construction, particularly Three Waters infrastructure
• NZ Certificate in Pipeline Construction & Maintenance (Level 3 or 4), or Plumbing and/or Drainlaying qualifications
• Previous experience leading crews or supervising civil construction projects
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
• The ability to read engineering plans and specifications
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A current NZ Class 1 Driver Licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsements highly regarded)
