Job summary

Ara Poutama Aotearoa - Department of Corrections in Hamilton is seeking a Supervisor/Kaimahi for the Tai Aroha residential rehabilitation program.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support residents in a therapeutic community, both on-site and during external activities, delivering a culturally responsive programme that integrates kaupapa Māori and tikanga Māori with evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate effectively within a Māori cultural setting.
• Knowledge of Te Reo Māori and pōwhiri/ whakatau processes.
• Proven communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full NZ driver's licence with ability to drive manual/automatic.

Responsibilities

• Support residents within the therapeutic community and during external activities.
• Deliver a culturally responsive rehabilitation programme integrating kaupapa Māori and tikanga Māori with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes.
