Job summary

Thetaste in Auckland is hiring a kitchen team member with a love for Thai cuisine. If you have at least 2 years in hospitality or a recognised culinary qualification, you could join our small, fast-paced takeaway.

You will plan menus, manage stock, train staff, and ensure hygiene standards while preparing authentic Thai dishes. Thai language skills are a bonus and helps with customer interactions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years working experience in the hospitality industry or recognisable qualifications in culinary art.
• Must be passionate about Thai cuisine.
• Thai language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan menu, estimate food and labour costs, and order supplies.
• Demonstrate techniques and advise on cooking procedures.
• Explain and enforce hygiene regulations.

Our tiny Thai takeaway in Devonport has been running for 3 years now. It has been growing fast and we are looking for a super star to join our team!

Who are you?

We are seeking awesome individuals to join our talented team with at least 2 years working experience in the hospitality industry or recognisable qualifications in culinary art. The most important part is you must be passionate in Thai cuisine.

Key responsibilities

• Planning menu, estimating food and labor costs, and ordering food supplies Discussing food preparation issue with manager
• Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Preparing and cooking food
• Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulation
• May select and train staff
• May freeze and preserve food
• Applicants who can speak Thai will be specially considered.
