Job summary

Uara Digital Limited in Wellington is seeking a seasoned Test Manager to lead a multi-vendor testing program and establish clear operational authority in a dynamic environment.

The role focuses on governance, quality gates, and reducing risk by refining testing frameworks and ensuring alignment with the client’s standards. You will manage stakeholders across internal teams and external partners while driving delivery momentum from a client premises.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in Test Management and Test Strategy, with the ability to define test approaches and oversee testing phases.
• Proficiency in designing, documenting, and maintaining Test Cases that align with requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience leading test teams or coordinating testing activities across multiple stakeholders and vendors.
• Familiarity with common test management tools and defect tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
• Experience in digital delivery or IT projects; background in consulting or managed services is beneficial.

• Act as a QA authority across multiple external delivery partners, ensuring accountability, alignment to the overarching test strategy, and strict adherence to quality gates.
• Navigate a complex stakeholder environment with varying priorities, managing expectations across internal leadership, in-house technical teams, and external vendors.
• Lead and stabilize the in-house testing function through a period of organizational change, maintaining high morale, focus, and delivery momentum.
• Proactively identify, articulate, and mitigate systemic risks, defects, and environmental bottlenecks in a high-pressure environment.
• Refine and champion testing frameworks that bridge the gaps between disparate vendor methodologies and the client’s internal standards.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Test Manager who has proven capability in leading complex program of work.

This is not a standard delivery role. You need to be able to work in a highly dynamic, multi vendor ecosystem, navigating continuous changes. We need an astute testing leader who thrives amongst ambiguity, can establish immediate operational authority, and can insulate the delivery team from external noise.

This role is based in Wellington and you will be based at the Client premises.
