Job summary

Mt Aspiring College in Wanaka invites a Certificated teacher to join as Head of Learning Area (HOLA) for technology. You will lead an experienced team and drive curriculum changes to empower Year 7–13 students to explore a broad range of technological skills.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the NZ Curriculum in technology, commit to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and work collaboratively with a dynamic teaching team to inspire diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the NZ Curriculum in technology.
• Educational leadership experience or potential.
• Ability to connect with and inspire a diverse range of learners.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive education practices.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a creative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the learning area of technology across years 7–13/wharekura.
• Implement curriculum changes within the technology learning area.
• Support students to be creative, curious, courageous, and compassionate learners.
• Collaborate with staff to develop and deliver a broad technology programme.
