Job summary

Mt Aspiring College in Wanaka invites a Certificated teacher to join as Head of Learning Area (HOLA) for technology. You will lead an experienced team and drive curriculum changes to empower Year 7–13 students to explore a broad range of technological skills.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the NZ Curriculum in technology, commit to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and work collaboratively with a dynamic teaching team to inspire diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the learning area of technology across years 7–13/wharekura.
• Implement curriculum changes within the technology learning area.

• Collaborate with staff to develop and deliver a broad technology programme.

Mount Aspiring College is a year 7-13 school in Wanaka. We are a community school and provide an extensive technology programme supporting students to achieve excellent results and experience a broad range of technological skills.

We are seeking a leader (HOLA) who is wanting to support our students to be creative, curious, courageous and compassionate learners, and to lead an experienced and dynamic learning area, as we implement curriculum changes.

This is a full time, permanent position. Please state your area of technology teaching.
