As a Medical Laboratory Technician within the Microbiology Department, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality laboratory services that contribute directly to patient diagnosis and care. Working in a busy and dynamic laboratory environment, you will perform laboratory procedures, process specimens, maintain equipment, and assist the wider technical team to ensure accurate and timely results.

About you

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will bring:

  • Registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A keen interest in science and laboratory practice.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately.
  • A positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Previous medical laboratory experience.
  • Computer and data entry experience.
