Job summary

Hitachi Energy NZ Ltd. is seeking a Project Specialist (technical) to lead transformer projects from handover to delivery in New Zealand. You will apply PMP practices, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks, and ensure timely status reporting and compliance with Hitachi PM methodologies and safety policies.

Fluency in English is required, with 5+ years of experience in transformer manufacturing or design and a degree in engineering. A global or multinational background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in transformer manufacturing or design.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a global or multinational environment is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage transformer projects from handover to delivery.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports.
