The Timaru Theatre Royal is seeking a skilled Technical Production Manager to join its newly established team in Timaru. This hands-on leadership role focuses on coordinating technical production, event planning and stakeholder relations to ensure smooth performances.

Working alongside the Theatre Manager, you'll provide hands-on leadership across technical production, event planning and stakeholder coordination. You'll work closely with touring companies, producers, hirers, contractors, community groups and internal teams to ensure productions have the technical support and resources they need to succeed.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape how technical production is delivered, support the team, work with a wide range of productions and stakeholders, and help establish Theatre Royal as a high-quality performing arts and event destination.
We’re looking for someone with strong technical production experience across theatre, live events or a similar environment, with knowledge of lighting, audio, staging, video and rigging. You’ll be organised, safety-focused and confident coordinating people, contractors and production requirements, with strong communication skills and a practical, solutions- focused approach.

This permanent full-time position offers 40 hours per week, with hours that may vary in accordance with performance bookings. The annual salary for this role is $76,693.40 - $90,227.53 per annum. Check out a copy of the position description
