Job summary

Lyttelton Port Company is seeking a Technical Lead – Electrical in Lyttelton, NZ. You will lead electrical maintenance and troubleshooting across fixed and mobile plant, ensure compliance with NZ regulations, and support project electrical work.

You will coach the Electrical Department, develop training pathways, and improve reliability, safety and performance across port assets. This is a hands-on leadership role in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• NZ Registered Electrician with current practising licence.
• At least 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance.
• Experience with fixed plant, mobile plant, automation, PLCs, HMI and SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
• Coach and develop Electrical Department team; strengthen fault-finding and electrical systems expertise.
