Job summary

Momentum Consulting in Auckland seeks a seasoned Technical Business Analyst for a contract role, hybrid AKL or Northland based, ASAP start with a 31st March 2027 end date. You will work with development, architecture, security, governance and external technology providers on complex integrations and API developments.

You will translate business needs into precise technical requirements, drive Jira-based delivery, and navigate governance overlays around data access, vendor risk and system

Qualifications

• Expert Technical Business Analysis experience within large, complex programmes.
• Experience working directly with development and architecture teams.
• Experience eliciting, documenting and managing technical and integration requirements.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows and system dependencies.
• Experience with Salesforce or Salesforce-integrated environments would be advantageous.
• Proficient in JIRA for requirements, user stories and delivery tracking.
• Experience working within environments with significant security, privacy, risk and governance requirements.
• Ability to assess and articulate risks associated with vendors, integrations and access to sensitive information.

Technical Business Analyst | Contract (31st March 2027) | ASAP Start | AKL or Northland based (hybrid)

Hands-on technical BA role working closely with development teams, architects, security, governance and external technology providers. You'll led requirement analysis, translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements, and support delivery through JIRA.

A key focus of the programme of work is improving how information is securely shared between systems and applications. The programme intends to develop a suite of APIs that will enable approved portal providers to access confidential information once the appropriate access, security and governance criteria have been met.

You’ll work across the technical detail of these integrations while also navigating significant governance overlay. This includes understanding data access requirements, security considerations, system dependencies and third-party risk, and helping define what constitutes a high-risk vendor or integration pathway.

About you

You’ll be an experienced Technical BA who is comfortable getting into the technical detail while working across a broad stakeholder group. You’ll bring:

• Strong Technical Business Analysis experience within large, complex programmes.
• Proven experience working directly with development and architecture teams.
• Strong experience eliciting, documenting and managing technical and integration requirements.
• Good understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows and system dependencies.
• Experience working with Salesforce or Salesforce-integrated environments would be advantageous.
