Job summary

Rosehill Intermediate in Auckland, New Zealand, seeks a passionate educator to join our team 2 days per week (0.4 permanent) in technology. You will deliver project-based learning in building, engineering, materials technology, or Design and Visual Communication (DVC) for Year 7–8 learners.

Our facility features metalwork and digital fabrication tools (3D printing, laser cutting, coding). Experience or enthusiasm with CNC routers and acrylic molding is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with teaching qualification.
• Experience with intermediate-age students and modern crafts.
• Knowledge of materials technology or industry experience.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and whānau.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative, project-based learning in building, engineering, materials technology, or Design and Visual Communication (DVC).
• Utilise metalwork setup alongside wider tools; CNC routers and acrylic molding are an advantage.
• Foster creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving in Year 7 and 8 learners.
