Job summary

Ohakune Primary School invites applications for a Hard Materials Technology Teacher to work with Year 7–8 learners from our contributing schools in the wider Ruapehu community, starting February 2027. The role focuses on practical, hands-on learning through our Technology Centre, developing skills in design, problem-solving and real-world applications.

The successful candidate will join a supportive team, with a strong emphasis on learner wellbeing, relationships and high-quality learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach Hard Materials Technology to Year 7–8 learners from contributing schools.

• Collaborate with staff across contributing schools to deliver the technology curriculum.
