Green by Nature is seeking a Team Manager for its Horticulture team, based across the South Auckland region with oversight of about 20 sites. The role combines hands-on horticulture work with administration, audits, client meetings and reporting.

You will lead a small team of three, fostering a proactive, safety-first culture while delivering excellent service to our council, retirement villages and health care clients.

Qualifications

• Horticulture qualifications and at least 3 years in a similar leadership role.
• Full NZ Class 1 driver’s license; manual preferred.
• Strong organisational, planning and communication skills.

To support our mission, we're seeking a Team Manager for our Horticulture team.

About The Role

The role is based out of the South Auckland region across approx. 20 sites. You will be responsible for managing a team of three and the role will be split between horticulture work and administration such as audits, meeting the clients, reporting etc.

As the team lead/manager you maintain a hands-on approach, helping to build a team who are focused and driven to achieve excellence and pride in what they do while exceeding our clients’ expectations.

Our ideal candidate has prior experience in a similar industry, showcasing proven leadership in achieving team success. You should be approachable, thrive in unexpected situations, and make informed decisions to instil confidence in your team.

Skills And Attributes

• Horticulture qualifications and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role (essential).
• A full, clean NZ class 1 driver's licence ideally with the ability to drive a manual
• High work ethic and not shy of getting on the tools to support your team
• Ability to go the extra mile to impress our clients
• Solid organisational and planning skills and enjoy managing workloads
• Strong written, computer and administration skills
• Know how people tick and can motivate your team to complete their best work
• A positive attitude towards working safely
