Job summary

Healthcarenz Limited in Christchurch seeks an energetic Team Leader to guide our Intensive Support Services team. You will coach staff, model high-quality, person-centred support and ensure outcomes for people with complex needs are prioritised.

You will lead by example, manage a diverse roster including weekends and overnights, and partner with whānau and professionals to deliver trauma-informed, low-arousal supports consistent with Positive Behaviour Support strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Wellbeing.
• Experience in disability, healthcare, mental health, youth or residential support.
• Experience supporting autistic people and non-verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team to deliver safe, person-centred support.
• Role model professional, respectful and positive practices.
• Support staff to implement Personal Plans, PBS strategies and risk management.
• Promote trauma-informed, low-arousal and least-restrictive approaches.
• Provide calm leadership during challenging situations.
• Support staff to recognise communication styles, sensory needs and triggers.
• Help people work toward goals, independence and community participation.
• Ensure documentation, incident reporting and planning inputs are accurate.
• Foster a positive, accountable and collaborative team culture.
