Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking three team leaders to oversee orchard operations in Whakatāne, Bay of Plenty. You will lead a team, coordinate daily tasks, and promote safe, efficient work practices. The role offers an hourly rate of 26–29 NZD, with guaranteed 30 hours per week and a maximum of 55 hours.

You will monitor progress, report hazards, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements. Prior experience in agriculture or team leadership is a plus, with induction and on-the-job

• Must pass drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of workers to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently.
• Allocate work as directed by the Supervisor and monitor task progress.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, support, and on-the-job instruction to team members.
• Monitor team performance and report any issues or concerns to the Supervisor.
• Ensure workers comply with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
• Conduct daily pre-start briefings and promote safe work practices.
• Assist with the induction and training of new team members.
• Maintain attendance and task completion records as required.
• Report hazards, incidents, equipment issues, and staffing concerns to the Supervisor.
• Promote teamwork, productivity and professional workplace behaviour at all times.
