Job summary

Anglican Family Care Centre, Inc. in Ōtepoti/Dunedin seeks an experienced Team Leader to inspire best practice and support kaimahi to thrive.

You will lead in strengthening whānau, manaakitanga, and high-quality care across Otago while modelling culturally responsive leadership. As a Registered Social Worker with leadership and clinical supervision experience, you will guide a dedicated team, uphold Care and Protection principles, and build collaborative networks with whānau and communities.

Qualifications

  • Registered Social Worker with leadership experience and supervision qualifications.
  • Ability to lead a team delivering strengths-based, culturally responsive services.
  • Knowledge of Care and Protection principles and Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and networks within whānau and communities.

  • 37.5 hours per week permanent position based in Ōtepoti
  • Salary range between $95,250 - $122,464 pa., commensurate with skills and experience
  • Provide practice and professional leadership that supports high-quality, strengths-based service delivery.
  • Foster a positive team culture where people feel supported, connected, and empowered to do their best work.
About you
  • Registered Social Worker
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally within the social services sector or a related field
  • Experience/qualification in clinical supervision
  • Proven ability to build and lead an effective team
  • An understanding and working knowledge of Care and Protection principles and the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989
  • A commitment to culturally responsive leadership, including advancing the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi within the organisation
  • Experience working with whānauwho need support with complex and often stressful situations
  • An excellent communicator who is able to build collaborative networks within the community
  • Sound computer and database skills
