Job summary

Te Waotu School in Putaruru, New Zealand is seeking a Certificated teacher to join our primary team for Years 1–8. The successful candidate will deliver engaging programmes, build positive relationships with learners and contribute to a learning-focused school community.

Te Waotu School is a full primary school, located within a beautiful rural setting, and easily accessible from Putaruru, Tokoroa, Te Awamutu, Cambridge and Hamilton. We are a well-resourced school in a proud farming community where we blend historical and modern facilities.

The successful applicant will need to be able to:

This position qualifies for the Teacher Bonding Scheme (TBS). The eligible teacher recruited into this vacancy will receive annual payments accumulating to a maximum of $40,000 (before tax) after 5 years.

There is flexibility around the start date and level of this full-time teaching position, and this can be explored with the candidate depending on their strengths and experience. This position commences within Term 4, 2026 or Term 1, 2027.
