Job summary

Manurewa High School in Auckland, New Zealand is seeking a certificated secondary teacher to cover Te Reo Māori and related Māori studies. This is a full-time, fixed-term position from 27 January 2027 to 17 December 2027.

The teacher will cover Te Reo Māori at junior levels and to NCEA Levels 1–3, plus Aotearoa Studies, and will be a team player within the Maaori Whaanau Unit Te Ahikaa.

Qualifications

• Qualified and certificated teacher for secondary (Years 7–15) and wharekura.
• Ability to teach Te Reo Māori at junior level and to NCEA Levels 1–3.
• Willing to be part of Maaori Whaanau Unit Te Ahikaa and restorative practices.
• Committed to raising Maaori achievement and community relationships.

Responsibilities

• Teach Te Reo Māori at junior level and to NCEA Level 1-3.
