Job summary

Community Care Trust Aotearoa in Dunedin is seeking Support Workers for our Supported Living Services. Roles are part-time and casual with 24/7 service operations; weekend availability is essential to meet the needs of the people we support. We value calm, resilient, non‑judgemental and solutions‑focused individuals who bring warmth and patience.

You will help people build independence, develop life skills and stay connected to their communities in a person‑centred, strengths‑based environment.

Qualifications

  • A full, current New Zealand driver licence.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
  • A current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to complete one at our cost.
  • Willingness to undergo vetting as part of our safeguarding commitment.
  • Availability to work weekend shifts.

Support Workers –Supported Living

Dunedin | Ōtepoti

As our services continue to grow, Community Care Trust Aotearoa would love to welcome new Support Workers to our Supported Living Services here in Dunedin. We have part‑time and casual opportunities available across our services. Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so availability to work weekends is essential. We’ll talk with you about your availability and do our best to match this with the needs of the people we support.

About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga

In our Supported Living Services, we walk alongside people as they build independence, stay connected, and take part in the communities they call home.

As a Support Worker, you will build genuine, meaningful relationships and support people to develop life skills, work towards their goals, and connect with their communities. Our approach is person‑centred and strengths‑based, recognising that behaviour is a form of communication and responding with compassion, patience and trauma‑informed practice.

We’d love to hear from people who are calm, resilient, non‑judgemental and solutions‑focused, and who bring warmth, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting others to build confidence, independence and positive life outcomes.
