Job summary

Christian Care Trust in Dunedin invites applications for Support Workers in our Supported Living Services. We offer part-time and casual opportunities across our services, with services operating 24/7, so weekend availability is essential.

You will build genuine relationships, support people to develop life skills and pursue goals, using a person-centred, strengths-based approach. Ongoing training and a supportive team environment are provided, with opportunities to gain Health and Wellbeing

Qualifications

  • Full, current New Zealand driver licence.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one at our cost.
  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding vetting.
  • Availability to work weekend shifts.
  • Experience in disability, mental health, justice, or community support is an advantage.

Support Workers – Supported Living, Dunedin

Christian Care Trust – Dunedin, South Island

As our services continue to grow, Community Care Trust Aotearoa would love to welcome new Support Workers to our Supported Living Services here in Dunedin. We have part-time and casual opportunities available across our services.

Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so availability to work weekends is essential. We’ll talk with you about your availability and do our best to match this with the needs of the people we support.

In our Supported Living Services, we walk alongside people as they build independence, stay connected, and take part in the communities they call home.

As a Support Worker, you will build genuine, meaningful relationships and support people to develop life skills, work towards their goals, and connect with their communities. Our approach is person-centred and strengths-based, recognising that behaviour is a form of communication and responding with compassion, patience and trauma-informed practice.

We’d love to hear from people who are calm, resilient, non-judgemental and solutions-focused, and who bring warmth, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting others to build confidence, independence and positive life outcomes.

Hourly rates of $24.74 to $30.06, depending on qualifications

A full, current New Zealand driver licence

Experience in disability, mental health, justice, or community support is an advantage, but not essential. We value people who are willing to learn, respectful of others, and committed to making a positive difference.
