Job summary

Geneva Healthcare is seeking an empathetic Support Worker to join our team in the Upper Hutt area. You will help clients achieve daily goals through practical and emotional support, including meal prep, transport, and personal care.

Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand and be willing to undergo police vetting. NZQA training and competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
• Healthcare or caregiving experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work alternate weekends.
• Full NZ driver’s licence and reliable transport for most roles.
• Right to work in New Zealand and willingness to undergo police vetting and other checks.
• Healthcare qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and daily living support.
• Community outings and social integration activities.
• Medication support as needed.
• Personal care tasks (showering, toileting, etc.).
• Manual handling and hoist transfers where required.
