Hōhepa Canterbury is seeking an outgoing Support Coordinator to join Sloss Service, a double staffed house in Halswell. You will support four men aged 25–49 with daily routines, provide personal care, cooking and tasks, and help them participate in community life.

Sloss Service is a double staffed house located in Halswell at the Hōhepa Farm; we're looking for one outgoing Support Coordinator who loves to have a laugh. At Sloss Service you will be supporting four men aged between 25 to 49 alongside a colleague.
A bit about the people we support at Sloss Service:
They enjoy having a good laugh with one another in a positive environment with some good practical jokes! Sloss Service enjoys attending the Hōhepa Festivals, swimming, going for drives in the car and helping with the cooking. The men have varying intellectual disabilities such as autism and down syndrome with different support styles.
You will be energetic, empathetic and able to work alongside this person focusing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth.
You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.95 and $30 per hour.
