Care on Call in Te Awamutu is seeking caring caregivers to support clients at home with daily tasks, personal care, mobility exercises, light housework and transport to appointments and activities.

The role suits people with initiative, strong communication, a clean full driver’s licence, NZ work rights and a people‑focused, reliable and proactive approach. Experience in community, residential or aged care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Great communication skills.
• A current, clean full driver’s licence.
• Minimum Health and Wellbeing Level 2.
• Previous experience as caregiver/support worker.
• The legal right to work in NZ.
• Energetic, initiative, and a good sense of humour.
• To be reliable, punctual, honest and caring.

Care on Call is passionate about supporting people in the community and we take pride in the personalised service we deliver to clients and the staff we work with.

We currently provide support to clients around New Zealand in their own homes, providing companionship and support with their daily activities.

We are looking for the cream of the crop caregivers/support workers who can empower our clients and help them achieve their goals. It would be desirable if you had previous experience working in a community, residential, aged care or rehab setting.

We are pioneering a new team who would look after our clients in Te Awamutuwith their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing)
• Passive exercises and stretches
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving client’s in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events

To match well with our clients you will need to be a special kind of person. One that has initiative, gets on well with others, is able to adapt to various situations and settings, can follow set processes and tasks, is proactive, has a ‘can do’ attitude and has great community skills.

Additional requirements
