Job summary

Care on Call in Raglan is seeking dedicated caregivers to support clients at home with daily activities, companionship and mobility.

You’ll work in clients’ homes, assist with personal cares, light housekeeping, driving to appointments, and support social activities. Must have a current clean full driver’s licence, be located in Raglan, and have previous caregiver experience. NZ work rights and a warm, proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients.
• Ability to work in home settings and be adaptable to various care tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing).
• Provide companionship and assist with daily activities and social engagement.
• Support clients with light housework and meal prep; accompany to appointments and events.

Care on Call is passionate about supporting people in the community and we take pride in the personalised service we deliver to clients and the staff we work with.

We have clients needing some help around their home, companionship and support with their daily activities around Raglan.

We are looking for the cream of the crop caregivers/support workers who can empower our clients and help them achieve their goals. It would be desirable if you had previous experience working in a community, residential, aged care or rehab setting.

Our Carers support our clients with their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing)
• Passive exercises and stretches
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving client’s in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events

To match well with our clients you will need to be a special kind of person. One that has initiative, gets on well with others, is able to adapt to various situations and settings, can follow set processes and tasks, is proactive, has a ‘can do’ attitude and has great community skills.

Additional requirements

• Great communication skills
• Currently located in Raglan
• A current, clean full driver’s licence
• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients
• The legal right to work in NZ
• Energetic, initiative, and a good sense of humor
• To be reliable, punctual, honest and caring
