Hōhepa Canterbury is seeking a dedicated Support Coordinator/Worker to assist a woman living independently in a on-site flat at our Barrington Street Campus. You will help with shopping, healthy meals, and housework while offering emotional support to foster independence.
The role emphasises building strong relationships, empathetic engagement, and boundaries. A NZ full driver’s licence is required, and on-the-job training is provided.

In this role you will be supporting a woman who lives independently in her flat on site at our Barrington Street Campus. Kelsey is in her 30's and she needs support with food shopping preparation, choosing healthy options and help with the housework.
Kelsey needs emotional support to encourage her to help her continue to grow and develop as an independent woman. Kelsey enjoys looking after her cat, going to community and anthroposophical events, art, swimming and seeing her friends and family.
We need a confident person who can build strong relationships and with the people we support, be empathetic, be able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. You will have the confidence to cook healthy meals from scratch and undertake accurate medication administration. You will be passionate about supporting people with an intellectual disability and helping them live a full life.
This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.95 and $30 per hour.
