Job summary

Odyssey is seeking a full-time Support Worker for our residential-based Therapeutic Community in Whangarei. The role covers 40 hours per week with rostered shifts, contributing to a supportive, recovery-focused team environment.

Ideal applicants will have a Level 4 Health-related certificate, experience in addictions or mental health, understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and a valid NZ Driver's Licence. Police clearance checks are likely required.

Job description

Our amazing co-existing disorders service in Kamo, Whangarei conducts a unique modified residential based Therapeutic Community for tāngata whai ora facing addiction and mental health challenges.

We are now seeking a full-time permanent Support Worker to work 40 hours per week covering the following rostered shifts:

The ideal applicants will have:

• Ideally a minimum Level 4 Certificate in Health or related field (preferred)
• A willingness to embrace the Therapeutic Community (TC) model
• Experience working in the addictions or mental health field (desirable)
• An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to this role
• A full NZ Driver's Licence

In return we offer:

• A salary between $58,739 - $67,558 depending on qualifications and experience
• An annual unsocial hour’s allowance of $2,500 pro rata
