New Zealand Police is seeking a dynamic Support Officer for the International Service Group, based at Police National Headquarters in Wellington, Porirua area. The ISG supports NZ Police international engagements, overseas assistance, and hosting delegations.

The role provides administrative and logistical support for deployments, manages health, welfare and medical criteria, coordinates travel insurance, and processes claims and records. It is a permanent, full-time police employee position.

Qualifications

  • Provide excellent administrative skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and the ability to learn new applications.
  • Identify and maintain constructive relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Communicate positively with a wide variety of audiences and respond to requests for service in a professional, customer friendly and timely manner.

  • Processes mail / freight to Diplomatic bags.

Mō te tūnga | About the role

International Service Group (ISG) is based at Police National Headquarters (PNHQ) and facilitates New Zealand Police (NZP) international engagement activity. ISG has responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of NZP policing activities outside New Zealand including Overseas Assistance Programmes, international disaster and emergency response and hosting international policing delegations.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide administrative and logistical support to the International Service Group. This includes supporting all aspects of deployment for NZ Police personnel on overseas programmes and postings to the Police Liaison Officer network.

The ISG Support Officer will coordinate the medical and insurance requirements relating to overseas travel for any NZ Police staff travelling internationally.

The position is based at PNHQ in Wellington.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $81,098 and $84,813 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
