Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley is seeking a Support Analyst to provide specialist advice, support, reporting and training to staff and patients regarding ACC treatment injuries. You will be the go-to person for Treatment Injury queries, understanding internal hospital and external ACC processes to enable lodgement, tracking and billing.

Location is Wellington Regional Hospital.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with general ACC processes and workflows, with ability to learn through training.
  • Strong time management skills with adaptability and flexibility.
  • Overall intermediate computer literacy; Outlook, Word and Excel at a basic level are essential.
  • Experience with Access, Adobe PDF or IBA WebPAS/Single Clinical Portal is an advantage.

About the Role

We need a Support Analyst who can provide specialist advice, support, reporting and training to Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley staff and/or patients in relation to ACC treatment injuries. The Support Analyst is seen as the go-to person for Treatment Injury-related queries and has a thorough understanding of both internal hospital and external ACC processes to enable identification, lodgement, support, tracking and billing of treatment injuries.

The salary range for this role is $88,000 - $92,400, depending on experience.

About the Team/Service Location

The ACC & Eligibility team provides comprehensive revenue recovery maximisation and support services to the organisation in relation to ACC and patient eligibility processes and policies, including the completion of claims and treatment injury processes, invoicing, training and provision of advice to clinical and clerical staff.

About you
  • You have familiarity with general ACC processes and workflows, with the ability to learn and apply these effectively through training. Specific ACC Treatment Injury and/or claims lodgement experience is highly beneficial
  • You have proven time management skills combined with adaptability and flexibility
  • Overall intermediate computer literacy is essential. Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel experience is essential at a basic level. Microsoft Access, Adobe PDF software and/or existing experience with IBA WebPAS or Single Clinical Portal is an advantage.
  • You place a high value on supporting optimal patient outcomes throughout their treatment and recovery through timely provision of accurate and thorough information to ACC to support cover decisions and other entitlements, while also enabling revenue recovery to sustain service funding
