About the Role

We are excited to invite applications for a newly created Supply Chain Analyst role within our Planning team, part of the wider Planning and Supply Chain function.

The role combines supply chain analytics, business intelligence, process improvement and project support. You will develop and maintain reporting, dashboards and analytical models that support demand planning, inventory management and wider supply chain performance.

You will also provide analytical support for transformation initiatives, system improvements and business improvement projects.

Working closely with stakeholders across NZBS, you will turn data into meaningful insights, identify risks and opportunities, and help improve the processes and systems that support the delivery of lifesaving blood and blood products throughout New Zealand.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse demand, inventory, logistics, supplier and broader supply chain data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting and performance insights.

  • Support process improvement and transformation initiatives through analysis, documentation, testing and reporting.

  • Work with stakeholders across the organisation to understand business needs and deliver practical solutions

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation, modelling and analysis.

  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting using Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, challenge assumptions and provide practical recommendations.

  • An understanding of supply chain, inventory, demand planning, logistics or procurement processes.

  • Experience supporting process improvement, system implementation or project activities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

The following would be advantageous:

  • Experience with SQL, Power Query, Power Automate or data warehouse concepts.

  • Experience with ERP, P2P, S&OP or other business system improvement initiatives.

  • Experience in a manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, laboratory or other regulated environment

If you are looking for an opportunity to apply your analytical skills in a purpose-driven organisation and make a meaningful contribution to New Zealand's health system, we would love to hear from you.
