Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and interest in computer vision or ML.
• Experience with data handling and exploratory analysis is a plus (Pandas/NumPy/Polars).
• Ability to learn annotation and validation workflows for image/video datasets.
• Clear written communication and documentation skills.
• Curiosity about dairy systems, animal breeding, or agricultural tech.
• Willingness to work on dairy farms for data capture per LIC safety rules.
• Interest in 3D data, spatial capture, photogrammetry is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Progress the project toward a practical proof of concept.
• Assist with on-farm video capture.
• Organise and validate captured footage.
• Annotate key visual features and prepare datasets for model development.
• Develop a prototype workflow turning video/spatial data into usable analytics outputs.
