Job summary

ABB Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Substation Automation Engineer to perform engineering, implementation, testing and commissioning of SAS based on ABB System 800xA, covering the full project lifecycle from engineering and FAT through site installation, testing and commissioning.

You will join a multidisciplinary team of automation and electrical engineers, under the Substation Automation Lead Engineer, and play a key role in engineering, testing and commissioning the substation automation system.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with a major in Electrical or Electronics.
Hands-on automation or substation automation project experience in Oil & Gas or power.
Knowledge of IEC 61850 (MMS, GOOSE, SCL) and IED configuration tools.
Experience with ABB System 800xA networks or similar DCS platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Engineering and configuring SAS using IEC 61850 under guidance of lead engineer.
Prepare signal lists, IP address lists and interface details with equipment suppliers.
Integrate LV/MV switchgear and IEDs using IEC 61850, Modbus, Profibus/Profinet.
Prepare test documentation and perform FAT/SAT and commissioning activities.
Perform internal testing, factory acceptance tests and end-to-end checks offshore/onshore.
