Job summary

Parade College in Melbourne is seeking a part-time Psychologist/Counsellor to join the Student Wellbeing Support Team. You will provide high-quality counselling, deliver targeted interventions and coordinate support services to improve student wellbeing and learning outcomes.

You will work in collaboration with teachers and external professionals, applying trauma-informed practice and promoting mental health and social-emotional development across the student body.

Qualifications

• Holds relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or counselling.
• Psychologists must be registered with AHPRA; Counsellors with ACA or equivalent; Social workers with AASW.
• Experience with trauma histories and students at risk is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality counselling to improve student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
• Deliver targeted wellbeing interventions for students with complex needs.
• Coordinate student support services within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support teachers to implement programs for students with additional needs.
• Offer expert advice on student wellbeing, mental health and engagement.
• Collaborate with team members to manage complex student cases.
• Contribute to professional learning and development of staff.
• Liaise with families, schools, health services and external professionals.
