Job summary

Waipapa Taumata Rau - The University of Auckland is seeking a Clinical Case Manager to support Te Papa Manaaki - Campus Care. The role focuses on early intervention, advocacy, and coordinating personalised wellbeing plans for students facing complex challenges.

The successful candidate will work with students, staff, and community services to assess needs, provide timely support, and ensure culturally responsive practice.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in social work or an allied health field and registered where required.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience supporting students or young people in wellbeing or mental health contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and triage referrals and concerns from students and staff.
  • Gather information, assess risk, and develop appropriate support plans and referral pathways.
  • Connect students with internal and external supports and coordinate services.
  • Provide advocacy and ongoing case management for students with complex needs.
  • Respond to high-risk situations with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and confidential records with proper handling of information.
  • Build relationships with University teams and external providers to ensure access to supports.
  • Identify trends to improve service quality and effectiveness.
