Job summary

Lincoln University in Lincoln, Canterbury, NZ, seeks a Student Systems Business Analyst to ensure the Student Management System is configured, supported, and continuously improved to meet operational and strategic needs.

As the system's subject matter expert, you'll work with stakeholders to optimise processes, maintain data integrity, deliver user training and support, and help maximise the system's value.

This permanent role is based at Lincoln Campus and works 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE).

Qualifications

• Experience administering, supporting, or configuring a complex business-critical system.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve system and process issues.
• Experience planning and conducting system testing, including validating upgrades, enhancements, and new functionality.
• The ability to identify business improvement opportunities and translate operational requirements into effective system solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to a wide range of users.
• Experience delivering user training and support, along with strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining high levels of data accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the subject matter expert for the Student Management System, including system configuration, functionality, business rules, and data structures.
• Monitoring data quality and maintaining the integrity of student information across the system.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve processes, reporting, user experience, and system utilisation.
• Testing and validating system enhancements, upgrades, and new functionality to ensure they meet business requirements.
• Delivering training, support, and guidance to users to build capability and encourage best-practice system use.
• Collaborating with operational teams, Information Technology staff, and vendors to resolve issues and support ongoing system effectiveness.
