Job summary

MainPower New Zealand invites applications for a paid Engineering Internship over the 2026–27 summer break in Rangiora. You will gain hands-on experience and work with industry professionals on real projects that support a safe, reliable electricity network.

The role runs roughly November 2026 to February 2027. You must be studying Engineering with 2–3 years of study completed and have the right to work in New Zealand. Pre-employment drug testing may apply.

• Have completed 2–3 years of tertiary study.
• Be curious, motivated, and keen to learn.
• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand (residency or valid visa required).

What you need to know

• Our head office is based in Rangiora (not Christchurch)
• Internships run approximately November 2026 – February 2027
• We have a mandatory shutdown period of around two weeks over Christmas and New Year
