Job summary

HarperSmith is seeking an experienced Structural Supervisor / Structures Lead in Hamilton, New Zealand to lead and grow a busy structural team within a regional civil contracting firm. The role focuses on reinforced concrete works, formwork, Doka systems and delivering complex structural projects for pump stations, bridges and tanks.

You will oversee planning, coordination and execution of formwork, steel reinforcement and concrete pours, while maintaining high quality and health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience leading structural teams on heavy civil concrete projects.
• Ability to plan formwork, reinforcing and concrete activities.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.

The Opportunity

Our client is a successful, long established and very busy regional civil contracting firm. They are recruiting for an experiencedStructural Supervisor / Structures Leadto take a key role and deliver a strong forward workload, to oversee an existing structural team and eliversignificant concrete and formwork requirements associated with its civil infrastructure and pump station projects.
They're now looking for someone who can take ownership of that work.
For an experienced Structural Supervisor, this is an opportunity to lead a good team and deliver technically interesting structural projects.
For someone with the experience and leadership capability to effectively run the structural side of the operation, our client is open to making this a considerably bigger role.
A background in pump stations, bridges, tanks, reservoirs, treatment plants, retaining structures or other heavy civil concrete work would be highly regarded.
Relevant trade or engineering qualifications are advantageous, but proven experience and capability are what really matter.
