Job summary

Holmes Consulting in Wellington Central, North Island, is seeking a graduate or early-career Structural Engineer to join our team. You will work on meaningful projects that shape communities across Aotearoa, building skills under experienced engineers.

You will contribute to seismic design, prepare calculations and reports, and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams. A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and up to 3 years' experience are typical; strong communication and a collaborative

Qualifications

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Up to 3 years' relevant experience in structural engineering.
Some exposure to structural analysis and design.
Interest in seismic design and the New Zealand built environment.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Support the analysis and design of structural systems on a wide variety of projects.
Work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Contribute to projects that are technically challenging, rewarding, and socially important.
Prepare calculations, reports, and other technical documentation.
Continue developing your understanding of seismic design and engineering best practice in New Zealand.
