Job summary

Built Environs in Auckland seeks a Pre Construction Lead to drive bid strategy and governance for complex tenders in the New Business team. You will manage submissions, lead client-focused responses and maintain accurate Greenhouse records to support opportunity pipelines.

You will collaborate with clients, consultants and suppliers, coordinate interviews and debriefs, and ensure compliant, compelling tender submissions that align with client criteria.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in construction / engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex construction tenders, bids or submissions within a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of tender governance, risk management, estimating, programme, design, commercial and construction interfaces.
• Experience administering a customer relationship management or opportunity pipeline system; Greenhouse experience is preferred.
• Excellent planning, facilitation and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and deadlines.
• Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication with strong presentation and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of company and joint venture tenders throughout the bid period, from launch to submission and clarification.
• Establish the bid strategy, programme, budget, deliverables, responsibilities and governance plan, and monitor performance.
• Lead the development of clear, compliant submissions that respond to client requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Own and administer Greenhouse for Built Environs, ensuring opportunities, stages, values, dates and actions are accurate.
• Prepare pipeline, tender status and opportunity reports for leadership review and planning.
• Develop relationships with clients, consultants, partners and supply chain to strengthen market presence.
• Lead tender interviews, presentations and post-tender negotiations in coordination with business leaders.
• Arrange debriefs for successful and unsuccessful bids and record lessons learned.
